First try 2 know his feelings for u by talking to him. If that doesn`t work then try 2 know from his close friends because if he really loves u then atleast his close friends might be knowing about it. If he feels the same for u then tell him that u love him. And if he doesn`t feels anything about u then also tell him as he should know what r ur feelings for him. So if u really love him then just go him, look right in his eyes and say that u love him. Don`t be nervous!!!

When u say no one knows... r u meaning family, friends besides the boy u like? Honey love is used too much by young people especially. Does this boy know u exist? Or are you pineing for him from a distance.
This is 2006 yes u can tell him u like him and find out if he's interested. Since u doubt, why don't u just flirt with him? Less chance of getting directly turned down and it will give u practice of interacting with a boy u like.

How old are you and how old is he? If you are over 18 years old, then you can probably tell him you love him and you might even (maybe) mean it. But if you are a young teenager, then no need to because love is such an open and silly word for younger folks who have ZERO idea about love. Anyhow, tell him you like him allot...but it will change in a few months or in ayear and you will "love' another boy. Sorry, but i realize that so many really immature younger girls (and guys) write all of this serious stuff, when in a few months period of time they already "love" someone else and have forgotten about the other person already.

Hi, try to get into conversation with him.
Keep your eyes, ears and mind open for his responses.
After a few conversations or communications and your analysis thereafter
if you logically find that he is interested then tell him
you want to tell him something in private and personal.
Make sure you do not meet him in a place in which he can take advantage of you.
Select a place where you have some privacy but a lot of good people are around.
Then tell him : "I think I have fallen in love with you.
Do you have similar feelings for me ?"
If he says "Yes" you have made it.
If he says "No" then do not persuade him further.
Just accept it, may be there is some better person for you in this world.
If he says "I need to think about it." or something similar give him some time to think. May be a few days.
Then again ask him "What do you think now about my love ?
Are you positive ?"
What ever he says and whenever he says,
do not meet him in places where he can easily take advantage of you until you know him more and you are 100 % sure he is not a bad person.

By telling him you've got nothing to lose if he says he doesn't love you. however if you don't tell him you will never know the answer to your question. Same thing happened to me. Had this big crush on the prettiest girl in school and only found out years later she felt the same. By then it was too late.
