Feeding goldfish don't need imagination either. Plagiarism i think they call it.
"Will they ever find a cure for Homosexuality?
As you are most probably aware; Russian scientists have now proved what many academics have always believed; that homosexuality is caused by a deffective gene that causes a defect in certain parts of the brain. Armed with this knowledge; do you think that researchers will be able to find a cure for homosexuality within the next decade"

Why do people use the word "prove" when discussing scientific data? Even the scientists will tell you their findings are hypotheses. Pure scientists do not believe in absolutes, even related to their own work. It's one thing that identifies them as human beings!
As for the "cure" for religion, it is God, through His Son, Jesus. God does not hold with religiosity. He wants believers, activists. Being a Christian is not a static state. It is also not a purely head- or heart-led state, which makes the "religious gene" theory untenable.
Of course, for Christians, the end of "religion" will occur at the time of the rap[ture, and yes, I do believe it may be within the next decade!

I believe that the only cure for the need for a religion is for your parents and society to make your live a fulfilled life. People turn to religion because it offers them something they are missing be it love, belonging or just something to keep up with other holier than thou people. If a person has all of the love and fulfilment they need, and are praised and encouraged by the people who mean most to them then they won't have need for belief in a god because they will believe in themselves

They is much scientific research about how some people are programmed to yield to authority. Maybe there is a genetic component. Karl Rove knew of this research, and manipulated fundamentalists and conformists into voting for Bush. Read "Conservatives Without Conscience," by John Dean. He cites psychological studies that have been well-accepted in academia for decades.

There is an evolutionary basis for god belief, but what you state in your details is false. There is a cure for religion..it is called science and reason, but the sheeple don't want to take their medicine.

Education is a good begining and is usualy enough for mild cases. For more severe ones , we are dealing with a form of schyzophrenia and that is more difficult to cure.

No. I am sorry but those Russian scientists were pressured into those 'findings'. The only cures for religion are ignorance or a crappy emo childhood in suburbia.
