I've heard some rumblings out there that HBO is seriously interested in broadcasting a Laila Ali vs. Ann Wolfe headlining match in early 2007. Do you think this is a good move for HBO? Seeing as they never really had women's boxing on their normal broadcast. I think it would be great because it's a fight that a lot of people want to see. Would you watch it? I really want to hear some opinions on this from some of the great boxing minds on this forum.

Yes it would be good for them. There was never a real big womens fight out there, until you get those 2 in the ring. If HBO hosted it. They would have the first womens superfight that might go down in history.

I haven't heard that yet but i think it would be a good thing. Laila vs. Ann Wolfe is the main women's fight out there that can be made and you're right Breeze, a lot of people do want to see it. I know a lot of fighters in my gym do because they talk about that fight almost as much as they do De La Hoya-Mayweather Jr. Personally, i don't think Laila wants to fight Wolfe. She's had numerous chances to do so, so i'm not sure how bad she wants that fight. That's a very dangerous fight for Laila because Lailla likes to come forward and try to overwhelm her opponents with a lot of punches. Against Wolfe she would have to fight a totally different fight. She'll have to box and try not to make a mistake because Wolfe has the power to end it with one punch. Laila would have to be very disciplined and use her skills to offset Wolfe's power. I think with the promotional muscle that HBO can put behind it, a lot of people would surely tune in to see it. I know i would. I hope they put it together.
