Of course it's possible, but check out the situation and the stats. I go to an international school, and recently a German girl (20 years old) challenged me (19 year old American male of irish/italian decent [if that matters at all...]) she swears that she can drink me under the table because she's German and beer is so much more a part of their culture. However.... she is a little girl, like maybe 115 pounds(5'1"), I'm not that good at estimating, but she's no where close to me, at around 150 pounds(5'10"). Not to mention that I'm from New Jersey which means as a teenager there was never anything to do, so we just drank practically everyday and if you are saying its heriditary than certainly very few cultures could compete with the irish. My record is 23 beers in 5 hours, and I didn't puke. Is there anyway that this girl could out-drink me? I actually made a formal bet with her just to see if for myself. Worst case scenario we both get very drunk anyway so who cares but still!!!

I think it's going to be all beer. Neither of us is really used to Japanese beer but beer in general it's pretty familiar for anyone and harder to drink more of. Same handicap, so it's fare. Any advice?

lmao yes it is possible and no it dosen't involve your heritage....I have drank a guy under the table with Tequila..Just depends on how much tolerance you have for alcohol and how you handle it....Good luck and hope you two have fun

There is no way she will beat you dude and you know it...
She's just playing a game or trying to get some free beers.. I dunno.

And yes people, heritage does have "anything" to do with it. Ever hear of a little enzyme called Alcohol Dehydrogenase? Ever wonder why a lot of Asians turn so red after a beer or two?

Resistance to the effects of alchol don't have much to do with being "strong" but rather just how your body reacts the poison.

For example, in my case, alcohol makes me open my wallet and buy drinks for other girls (I'm also in Tokyo by the way.. you know how it is..) I feel this is an "adverse" reaction to alcohol.. However I keep doing it..

Anyways, you are going to destroy her..

YES!!! YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!! You don't have to be sober to force a girl into sex.... neither does she. If she doesn't want it, then it's rape, all other conditions mean jack **** if the other person DOES NOT WANT TO HAVE SEX!!! I was wasted passing out drunk, so was a close male friend, and during my awake moments I found he was raping me. I didn't want to tell anyone, and he was completely ashamed the next day, but it didn't change the fact that he raped me.... no matter how much he regretted it or drunk we both were. And trust me, drunk does NOT stop a man from"getting it up" or affect his ability to perform, in some it actually makes it easier. I still managed to get out the word "No!" before passing out again. But the pain kept waking me up. So keep your hands off unless the word "yes" comes out her mouth. No matter what she behaves like, ask her outright "Do you want to do this?". That magic question will answer any doubts you might have, possibly bring clarity to what is about to happen to both of you, give you both a chance to change your mind, and probably save you a lot of grief and legal troubles. Rape is not only what happens to an unnamed woman in a dark alley in the dead of night by a nameless faceless stranger in dark clothes, it is also your close friend in broad daylight in an unlocked dorm room. If you don't think you were raped, but didn't really want to have sex, you were probably date raped. And the word rape means rape, no matter what word you put in front of it.

it is possible but women metabolize alcohol at about half the rate of men so it effects them more. that is why all the "girlie" drinks have less alcohol. it is just a generalization though and so some women will not metabolize it as slowly and some men could. so if you take 100 random men and 100 random women the men will nearly always win that competition but you could find a women that can out drink most men. it is like sports, overall men will win and the very best is always going to be a man but if you take one of the best women in the world and an over the hill average at best man the woman might win sometimes. for example billy jean king beat some old drunk at tennis in the "battle of the sexes" that was supposed to prove something back in the seventies, but those kind of irrelevant "victories" do not change the fact that overall men are generally superior to women both physically and mentally. I've outdrunk a man. 11 Kamikazes to his 9! At the time, I was 5'6" and about 125# with not much body fat --- Body Mass Index of 20 at the time. I'm not too sure about the body fat theory. I think some of it has to do with heredity and lifestyle too, and a little determination!

Yup, she can out drink you if she has more body fat than you do. Your weight has pretty much nothing to do with it, it is amount of body fat. The alcohol is stored in body fat instead of in the bloodstream. The storing allows it to be metabolized later, so you can consume more and be less drunk.
At least that is the way I learned about the chemical process....and know of it from being an (now recovering) alcoholic for about 10 years.
As for betting on this...do you have any idea how many college age kids are taken to the hospital and morgue from binge drinking? Don't do this to yourself. There is nothing manly about it. It's just stupid.

Body weight has more to do with it than gender I would say along with metabolic rate and of course what you are actually drinking.

On beer against a 5'1 german girl..... would be fun finding out!

Has nothing to do with your height or weight. It has everything to do with your nervous system and how steady it can be after each and every drink. She might outbeat you. BUT, 23 beers in 5 hours...that is something! lol. Get drunk and be happy! Don't do it for too many years though, your liver might just say, "I give up". Take care!

i think she will out-drink you! that has nothing to do with your heritage or body fat just your tolerance to booze. This summer I met a few German girls that can really drink A LOT, out-drank a few guys with no problem!!! Have fun and take care....
