You make the same mistake others are, regarding this issue. The word ILLEGAL is conveniently being forgotten.

People immigrate for all sorts of reasons and issues concerning "illegals" are huge and vast among affluent nations. There are those who abuse the system that is meant to help the truely needy - some citizens... some aliens; THATS A FACT. I feel that all the above reasons apply depending on a communities level of openmindedness. The press should take responsibility in trying to break myths and help people get the facts that are fundamental to proper and informed judgements. Unfortunately, society worldwide has grown more fearful and suspicious with time and the bloodier a situation the higher the gain for the media, be it in form of financial profit or ratings awarded. With global warming the immigration issue can only get worse. It is time we all woke up and smelt the coffee! We were all born into this world naked and broke and so we shall depart taking nothing with us. We dont even own our bodies that eventually disintegrate and return to dust! Why do we persistently bicker and try to hang on to a fleeting material world that we shall never truely own? Live and let live I say. If I embrace my neighbours and treat them as I expect to be treated then they will watch my back in time of need.

NONE OF THE ABOVE!!!

History will judge but I'm sure in time, it will become apparant that the USA is under attack south of the border. It's a different type of attack but an attack as lethal to our culture and way of life as the attack by the Japanese of WWII. In time, unless the steady stream of illegals are stopped and the existing illegals are documented and processed, the existing culture of the border states will be irrevocably turned over to people that have their loyalties only with Mexico, not the USA. Some would say that this is already the case and it may well be, but it needs to stop. We are ruled by law. When we begin to pick and choose which laws we follow/enforce, we are all doomed to chaos.

i answered a similar question a month ago and I still stand by my opinion.I and my family are legal immigrants from India. My dad,mom me and little sister came here.My dad is a software engineer. We came here and went through 4 years for a Greencard. In that period of time we do not know if we are staying in the U.S because getting a Greencard is difficult (which is why illegals hop the border). But we got it.Its been another 5 years and we are working towards citizenship the harder and yet noble way.
How come we go through this while illegals get all this simpathy for hopping the border? Its kind of messed up that you get sympathy and may even get an easy citizenship for hpooing the border. While we go through that paper work for years.Sure the
people say that America would be on its knees without illegals but how is it that America became a superpower without them?
It became a superpower with settlers an then LEGAL immigrants.
Heck even in the holacaust the Jews who had the right to come undocumented came as refugees. If illegals are considered so valuble then think about what the legal ones have done. They have done much more.I know the Anti-Illegal protesters use the drugs, gangs and stuff as a argumental point but they are forgetting something.Nearly all illegals and if not ALL illegals need an ID to work.Where do they get that? From legal immigrants ofcourse and U.S born citizens.Millions do it already.Even the ones that have children with them of 2 years old have to do that act.And now from my personal experiance.I am 13 years old and in 8th grade.I am not biased but this is what I see at school. My school is nearly 50% Latin American and of the Latin Americans
some are illegal some have gained citizenship through amnesty programs and some are legal with bad family backrounds. What really happens at school? You may say I have no right to make such acusations but at this point I have every right because I have seen and ones even made a little chart that I kept track for a week. These kids make out in the halls. They disrupt the halls by
yelling things loudly in their language like "van da ho" or "Putho"
which are bad words. The male ones where these T-Shirts with
obscene pictures or bad messages and sagg down the halls with Mexican music on their CD players. In large groups they make out with one another blocking the halls.I did some reasearch on the Internet and they got the lowest standerdized testing scores in my State and most have bad grades in school. My school in general is sort of a low funded public school.
It is near the airport and my dad does the comp work for an airline company so i have no choice but to go there. They ruin my
school. Its horrible. To answer your above question you need to be of a certain point of view and mine is not very approving or great to read. But just think of the billions of people on Earth and the events they go through and finally let out in words.Just think of that before you click on that "thumbs down" key for my answer

And its non of the above by the way :).

Some are combos, while others are just 1 of the above, and you have some who are in opposition who truly have valid reasons .. and those would fall into none of the above.

Myself, I think I am d) appalled. I am appalled that this problem has been neglected for as long as it has been. I am against illegal immigration. Of course, there are those who fall into all the categories you listed and some who fall into one or two. Of course, there are racists but I really believe they are the minority.

All of the above, immigrants must be treated humanely. Educated and good people must be taken in as workers and deport only those with bad records.
