I am about $20,000 in debt. I lost my job in September and still haven't found one. I advised my spouse to pay the things that we needed to pay and to keep his credit A++. The credit card debt is in my name only, we have a house together, and a vehicle. Is there any way that I can file and leave him out of it?
I want to pay my debt off. I believe that's Chapter 13?? I just need a payment amount I can afford, and get every body off my back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can. Anyone can file individually, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy only remains on the credit file for 7 years IF discharged (completed): it is referred to as a Wage Earner Plan, because the creditors receive a portion of the payments due to them.
If you prefer not to file bankruptcy, debt consolidation may be an option as well.

You sure can file without your spouse.
