Rottweilers are also good cart pulling dogs..

No dog has the pulling power nearly as strong as a horse..

Huskies were bred for pulling, and I would say them as well as pitbull are some of the best pulling dogs. Your biggest concern when picking a dog for pulling is making sure they have strong hips. St. Bernards are great, most snow oriented dogs are the best but any large dog with strong hips can be great for pulling if trained properly.

Bernese Mountain dogs were bred to pull milk wagons. They are a large, stocky, beautiful tri-color breed. However, their average life span is about 7 years. It just doesn't seem fair.

After you have found a breed that you like, make sure he/she has a high energy level. Dogs have different energy levels, no matter breed, gender, or size. Working-class dogs love the challenge. Get a dog that fits your lifestyle, especially if you have or are around children! Good luck- and remember... Don't shop, adopt!

The Rottweiler has been used as a carting dog for centuries.

Endurance? Please. :D My rottie and I go hiking regularly on 20 mile treks thru tough terrain and at the end of the day, he's still chasing squirrels.

Try the American bulldog. Not in the working class but the pull for fun.
