I talk to myself too sometimes. Nah, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I think it's a good thing because then when you have problems, you can just talk and talk without anyone knowing how you feel.

I have a really REALLY hard time telling people I know how I feel, so I just talk to myself to get it all out.

So you like Barry Manilow....there's nothing wrong with that. There's no right or wrong in what you want to sing, or who you like! It's who you are! Be proud!
On the topic of 'talking to yourself', well, just think of it this way, you are 'thinking out loud'....it's when you start asking questions, and answering them, that would make me wonder...just kidding...I think everyone goes through that from time to time. I have, and I'm not clinically diagnosed with anything stronger than being 'verbally-stressed' or 'enjoying hearing myself talk'...haha...
It's one thing to start talking, openly, while doing something, like when you're trying to figure something out, or deciding to do something, and you verbally talk about it, with no one around, in particular that you're sharing this conversation with, and it's another when you start facing the garbage bin or wall, and start talking to it, like those things would actually 'talk back' or 'respond' to you...THEN it becomes a question of 'what funny farm you will be assigned to'!! :-)

Avoiding the obvious reply that you can answer your own question then, I'll say that if it's Barry Manilow, then you're not insane, but you might be 'in lurv'?

Ok now being a person who works with someone who just CANT stop talking to her dim blond irritating self i urge you to STOP NOW...

This colleague insists to speak out every action she does...like i just have to type this letter then i will get the post... oh no ive spelt that wrong now where is that backspace... (without taking a dam breath - and yes she is like this non stop from 9-5) Not only has she officially driven me to the point of stabbing her to death (which at times i could quite happily do with no remorse) but because she is so f*cking irritating and fart arsey and all management know it she has been given the nickname of ***** the Schooly because well to be honest photocopying and opening the post is all she is capable of... (even printing large documents for conferences she f*cks up) the problem is this woman is around 40!! and well if you even try to suggest to her to STOP talking to herself.. she giggles and ad mitts how stupid it is... then complains to management about you and that you are singling her out...

PEOPLE LIKE THIS SHOULD BE SHOT HUNG DRAWN AND QUARTERED....

So please i beg you.... next time you realise your talking out aloud... realise that you may just be irritating someone to the point of choking you....

I really cant beg you enough to stop....

Not necessarily often find that the best way to look at it is that you can't argue with yourself and therefore never lose in a disagreement. Also, if you speak to yourself you may find it makes those irritating little thoughts become clear.

Only if you slap yourself and leave the room in a snit.
