Thank you for the link.That does not seem right to me we bow to God,not to fellow man and for the pope to do that just seems wrong.

Kissing feet is a matter of habit. It is a symbol which is practices in many places. Maybe it means the absolute acceptance and love what people to people can show.

That would up to the Pope, I'll say it is not okay for me to kiss feet unless they are my wifes's feet

Certainly! They are human beings trying to convey their service to God by serving others and guiding them to the truth. Many people are shocked to find out the pope also goes to confession very often. If we are to rise above our human nature we must seek virtues that lead us to heaven. Humility is one of those virtues.
