I've had three parrots over the years and a hand fed budgie. there names were: Chicken( i didn't name him grey cheeked parrot) Axel (blue budgie) Moe ( yellow naped amazon) BoB ( he was the coolest, Senegal parrot) and Carl ( the sun conure/screamer). A birds name is important and has to fit them. Make it something they can say if their a talker so one syllable. Get a baby name book at the library and try that.

I currently have Navie (as in Navajo Indian) and Oke (as in Cherokee Indian). Don't ask where the Indian theme came from.

I did have Malibu (as in booze) and Diesel (long story there)

They have all been Galah's except for Oke who is a beautiful Major Mitchell Cockatoo.

I have heaps of birds, but only the special ones have names.

I did have budgies called Ziggy (as in David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust) and Floyd (as in Pink Floyd) years ago.

I did have Storm and Space in mind for the bird that is now called Oke, but they did not suit him at all...

Food for thought.
