don't worry about the effects long term, you may never live long enuff to investigate or be affected by those. Ephedrin is a nasty drug that takes a real toll on your body. One long term effect of all diet pills is that you come to believe that the pills work so why should you have to work. Also most diet pills don't work well with a healthy diet so there will prolly be some nutritional concerns.

Well - for the first week or 2 you run round everywhere at double the pace and you have real problems sleeping at night & you dont want to eat - hence the dramatic weight loss at first. Your eyes will become dilated and you can have dry itchy eyes and a dry mouth - your breath starts to smell. Over the next few weeks you get used to them and although you're still running round, you are so exhausted that you sleep. You still dont eat hardly anything so you are becoming run down. After about 3 to 6 months the mood swings kick in and they are violent - trouble is everyone but you see's them - everyone is then scared to approach you about them. Eventually you'll stop taking them and I mean eventually - these pills are addictive and the mood swings while on them are nothing to what you get trying to kick the pills - then a few months later the weight piles back on so what was the point of all that. Dont take them - its not worth it !!!!

In my point of view, diet pills are useless. It will damage severely ur intestines. Afterwards, u cannot eat anything, this is the way diet pills help to reduce your weight ( i say most of the diet pills). Its better not to eat fat substances like oil, meat and someothers. Consume fruits very often daily in ur diet, eat small when u r starving. don't skip eating, it results in Ulcer. Do exercise everyday, drink hotwater in morning after wake up. this is more than enough go to gym.

I think amoung the variety of side-effects diet pills offer, the biggest one is you will probalby gain weight after you reach your goal and get off of them.
The best weight loss program is diet and exercise. It sucks, but works.
Best of luck.
