i feel a non-Muslim making an effort to aid the ummah (community) in their struggles is very honorable... dont you?

peace to all,
Sakina

just in case it wasnt clear... i was not asking why it is that people feel they are entitled to be so heartless or simple in the things the say. i was asking Muslims what they thought about Hayden, a descent, thought ful, non-muslim, being conscious of other people.

sakina!
The descrimination that you notice is due to Islamic Clergy's teachings and approach to the youth of the day with "Qafir & Jihad" theories and that is the dividing factor.

An ordinary man/woman feels the thirst, hunger and pinch of the pain. But s/he never cares for freedom unless the all the above are eradicated for ever.

Look dear, how is it that the Muslim world is always complaining about discrimination whereas Christians can not practice freely their religion in most Muslim countries...? I have enough of those guys always complaining of being discriminated whereas I was once forbidden to drink a glass of wine in a BritishAirways airplane while taxiing on the tarmac of Cairo.... As you know airplanes are part of the soil of the nation where they are registered and no one has the right to forbid me to drink a glass of wine in a non muslim plane. The problems with the Muslims is that they are always forbidding something to you but want to be granted all rights....

I totally agree with you, while we Muslims are called fundamentalists and uneducated, look at some of the replies in Yahoo answers which show a total disrespect for the religion of Islam, while Jesus is as dear to us as is Moses.

They Ridiculed the Believers

[23:109] "A group of My servants used to say, `Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and shower us with mercy. Of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful.'

[23:110] "But you mocked and ridiculed them, to the extent that you forgot Me. You used to laugh at them.

[23:111] "I have rewarded them today, in return for their steadfastness, by making them the winners."

[23:112] He said, "How long have you lasted on earth? How many years?"

[23:113] They said, "We lasted a day or part of a day. Ask those who counted."

[23:114] He said, "In fact, you stayed but a brief interim, if you only knew.

[23:115] "Did you think that we created you in vain; that you were not to be returned to us?"

[23:116] Most exalted is GOD, the true Sovereign. There is no other god beside Him; the Most Honorable Lord, possessor of all authority.

[23:117] Anyone who idolizes beside GOD any other god, and without any kind of proof, his reckoning rests with his Lord. The disbelievers never succeed.

[23:118] Say, "My Lord, shower us with forgiveness and mercy. Of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful."

I've noticed an obscene amount of discrimination and hatred on this site, period. Quite frankly it nauseates and angers me. There is no excuse for hatred or discrimination. Hatred of others in this regard and discrimination are seeds of Satan

heres the problem the way i see things

think of the entire world muslim community as a group of friends

4 of them are very calm quiet peace loving people..one of them is loud aggressive beligerant and outwardly violent..this group of friends meets..for arguments sake a group of american friends

the loud aggressive muslim in the group grabs one of the americans pulls him to the ground and kicks the crap out of him..the rest of the americans look at the other muslims and think..do something..stop him..nothing..so the americans try to fight him off..and the rest of the muslims shout NO! HE IS OUR BROTHER!!

the group of american friends walk away wondering what to think of people who allow a crime to be commited because they are passive wondering what can they do when defence is seen as an act of agression in something thats none of their buisness

something that is the buisness of a community that refuses to do what is right.
