By getting to know Him through His Word. His Word tells us all we really need to know. If there were more to know, He'd of told us. His Word tells us that perfect love drives out all fear. So, if we have any fears, we can overcome them by knowing that God has it all worked out already, so we can relax. Some fear is healthy, such as taking unnecessary risks like jumping off a 10 story building, thinking that you can fly! It's healthy to realize that you could be seriously hurt or worse, and have a fear of taking a stupid risk like that. I faced my fear of riding a motorcycle by realizing that if it's my time to die, whether I'm hiding under the bed, or cruising on the back of a bike, then it's my time to die, and there's nothing I can do to change that. It helped me to trust that God has it all under His control (thank God for THAT!), and to not allow the fear to suck all the life out of me. So, I got on the back of the bike and rode off, loving it more than I ever thought I would. And, because of that, God was able to use me in such a way as I never had been before. It's easier going to biker things on a bike than in a car, and it opens up new opportunities that never existed before. Psalm 56:11 says, "In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me." Proverbs 3:5-7 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and depart from evil." <*)))><
