Forget the DIET word. The most effective way to lose weight without exercising is to avoid certain foods. Just begin by avoiding bread, butter, soft drinks & sweets. This is not too radical is it for a start? Try this for the first two weeks to jump start your metabolism. I visit the gym regularly, and over several months many people look the same size and still show fatty areas that should have responded. What they are doing is not eating SMART. So take this advice and just keep moving along. Don't park to close to the stores. Pick up your pace as you walk and do errands. YOU WILL LOSE! Drink plenty of water also with just a squeeze of lemon often. This will detox your liver and spark your metabolism. Good Luck!

My physician is a weight management specialists and a vegan .
He is trim and does not exercise .
Exercise can put weight on you but seldom takes it off . the number of calories you burn in exercising all day long just don't make that much difference ! they can make you healthy and feel better but you can over eat and exercise while gaining weight very easily.That's the opinion of two medical Dr's that I asked.
I lost 80 lbs without any exercise through diet with hormone replacement for my thyroid condition. try a high fiber low fat diet
no meat chicken fish or dairy products eat whole grains not processed rice ,bread or pasta . cut the sugars to a minimum and avoid sulfites.this will allow salads w/low fat dressing and a gallon of water a day you will cut your chances of heart and vascular problems 68%while losing weight to boot. High Fiber is what weight watchers tout.

I believe taht exercise is very important, but when I lost my weight, 95 lbs in 8 months, I used a plan called Shapeworks. did absolutely no exercise to do this. If your just going to rely on a diet you're going to lose weight but alot more slowly than if you did it with excercising. So I suggest you combine the two and speed up the process, it'll help you tone your body as well. you won't regret it.

Depends how you define 'diet'.

See, people misunderstand that dieting helps reduce weight when in fact it tricks and triggers your brain sending the wrong signals to your body for fat absorption from the ‘dieting’ food you consume - this is a natural response from our body. Wondering why? Ask how polar bears hibernate for so long under the snow? The fat keeps them warm and provides the energy for survival.

Try to cut down on the sugar and butter. Commit yourself. Use the gym on a regular basis and dedicate one hour daily just for abs. Avoid sitting down for long hours.

The ONLY healthy way to loose weight is diet AND exercise. I know it sucks, but execise has to be a part of a weight loss program, even if you just start out by walking.

if food was your only source of pleasure make sure to reconnect with other things you enjoy music sports volunteer work or movies for example

store bought salad dressings can be packed with calories make your own vinaigrette and store it in a small spray bottle to coat your greens without over dressing them
