It's not demons, it's paranoia.
You sure about that?

Not a good feeling at all. I would suggest you talk to a mental health worker. No I am not saying you are crazy. Some time in your past something happened to create this fear. You need to find out when and what so you will know how to deal with.
Quite often parents instill such things in their children when very young to have control of them. Most of the time the parents do not realize what they have done and are not able to connect it to the problems later.
Religion can be another cause of such fear.
Get help and live without fear.

hey big money, sounds like you're just remembering. I know it's really hard to deal with things like that when they have actually happened...(don't let anybody tell you that it didn't happen.) And I completely believe you. A lot of what your fear is was part of a scare tactic from the people who have abused you. Although demons are real, as well as God and angels, if you believe in Jesus you have much more power than they ever will have ever. Demons have a tendency to puff themselves up bigger than they are and if you have just even in your head pray that they have to go in Jesus name, then they can't hurt you. I know it sounds silly (but this is what I did)...if you keep speaking out loud that they can't hurt you and remind them that Jesus protects you, then that fear, and they, will eventually go away. What helped me out the most was that I kept saying, "I believe in Jesus" because they can't stand the name of Jesus and it helps break the brainwash that I was abused with saying that I believed otherwise. Anyways, Jesus will protect you because it's usually the high up kids in God's kingdom that get abused like this....the enemy just tries to steal their destiny.
And I know the last thing you need to hear is The Lord's Prayer or the Lord is my Shepherd verses!

Demons don't usually work on mortals in the dark because it sends mixed messages , which is not a good thing for them. They work at twilight just before the sun sets, while there is still sunlight lighting the atmosphere.

And this is what Christianity does to people. Now you're afraid of the dark because Christians managed to scare the daylights out of you.
There is nothing in the dark waiting to hurt you. It's just the sun moving its rounds around the earth. That's not a bad thing. It helps things rest so that they can grow when the sun comes around again.

Go to your local library and look up information on how many deaths have occured because of people being mamed and destroyed by mysterious forces that showed no clear entry or exit. Talk to some professors who study demonology and lore and the like and see what they can tell you about modern research on demon protection. Once you have empirically observed that the only substantive evidence you can find is from web-sites of "survivors" and horror stories at sleep-away camp you'll be okay.

Alicia has it right. Also I would simply add a lot of praise to your daily worship. Satan absolutely goes bonkers when Christians praise God. There is absolutely no defense against it. In case you haven't figured it out yet, that's one of the reasons the ACLU fights public prayer on every level. If we put prayer back in the public forum especially in public school, the violence factor would go back to the levels they were before 1963.

Pray...hey, I will pray for you right now as an example, then you do it in your own words.
Dear God, I pray for this guy fearing demons hurting him physically. I pray for protection from any demon spirit, please let them not touch him, nor me or my family for doing this publicly. Thank you Jesus, and please keep that hedge of protection around him day and night, and to rest in this knowledge that you DO hear our prayers and answer when we pray them in Jesus name. Thank you so much, IN Jesus name, Amen.
theres a start.....no fear in love, and God is love. Keep seeking Him.

Have faith in G-d and pray for protection. Ask Him for help as well as protection. It is believed that we have guardian angels and guides sent by G-d, they can protect you and as long as you feel that warmth you will gain the feeling of control. I am not a Christian but I believe that Jesus taught that if you ask G-d for something in his (Jesus's) name, He will not deny you anything. Do so and ask.
