My fiance and I have recently moved from Ontario Canada to Alberta Canada. He has a son that is still in Ontario who's mother will not let him come here and I have a son who's father is in Alberta. My fiance wants me to move back to Ontario with him, but I hated it there. He doesn't like it here. My family is here and his family is there. He misses his son, yes, but my son would then miss his father if we were to move back there... any input???

he can visit often if you can trust him, that would be your alternative to not moving but your son would miss his father too. tough situation to be in.

I would move to a town somewhere between Ontario and Alberta. That sounds like a fair compromise.

Wow, that's a bad situation.

I don't suppose that there's anyway for living somewhere halfway between the two cities?

Yes. I know that's a long distance away from both cities, but that's all I got.

Best of luck to you. I hope everything works out well in the end.

I met a very nice man and married him.....he lives 900 miles from my children and grandchildren. It is a lonely miserable existence.
I should be surrounded by my family...and yet here I sit while he is at work...year after year..with no kids laughing or watching my grandbabies grow.

break up and live near your respective children and families. Neither parent should live apart from their child.
