Taoism or Daoism is something that everyone can follow. It is very flexible as you can be any other religion and still follow the "Way". I believe that a basic philosophy is the search for immortality and hence, "The Way (Tao) that can be said, is not the eternal way" It is a complicated philosophy at times, but interesting nonetheless. I suppose that there is a bit of Tao in all of us, it is based on feelings, if you feel the Tao then you are free to be called a taoist.
