He didn't fit all the animals on the ark if he even existed. There would be no way to care for all the animals or to have an ark big enough to fit all of them on. If a similar story really did happen, the he probably just took some animals from around where he lived. I doubt that it ever happened at all though.

Since God is able to do anything and everything, he made the boat hold as many animals as Noah wanted it to. He made it so big that it was able to hold all 2 million species of animals within the area nearby. I imagine all of the millions of plants, fungi, bacteria, etc. species that would have also been adversely harmed by the flood were also placed on the board the boat.

Also, since modern phylogenetic tracings can tell not every extant species is derived from the same parents in the recent history (as would easily be able to be tested using PCR analysis) so in addition to not including info on the plants and other living creatures Noah saved, he actually ended up saving thousands of pairs of mates for each species. I mean, otherwise science has to be wrong...

Since the ark was only needed to float and keep everyone out of
the water and safe, it was probably rectangular, with a flat bottom.
Its dimensions was : 300 cubits longx50 cubits widex30 cubits high. A consertive measurement for a cubit is 17.5" or
44.5 cm. So the dimensions would be 437.5long x 73wide
x 43.6 high (metric: 133.5mx22.3mx13.4m)
Did you know that the proportion of length to width is 6 to 1?
a proportion used today by naval architects.
So the ark had approximately 1,400,000 cubic feet of
volume. (metric: 40,000 cu m)
If the interior was divided by 2 floors, the 3 decks give a total
of 96,000 sp. feet of s pace (8,900 cu m)
As for the animal occupants, the command was to bring
in the animals "according to their kind" The reference here to
"kinds" implies a clear cut and unalterable boundarie or limit, creatures that capable of breeding "according to their kind"
Scientists estimate that the hundreds of thousands of species
of animals today could be reduced to a comparatively few family
"kinds", like horse, cow, dog etc.
So the animal kinds could be as few as 43 kinds of mammals,
74 kinds of birds and 10 kinds of reptiles. Others count 72
jubds if qyadryoeds and less than 200 bird kinds.
The Encyclopedia America indicates that there are
upwards of 1,300,000 species of animals but 60% of these are
insects. Of the 24,000 amphibians, reptiles , birds and mammals; 10,000 are birds and 9,000 are reptiles and amphibians many of which could have survived outside the ark and only 5,000 are mammals, including whales and porpoises-these last 2 didn't need to enter the ark. The extimate is that there only about 290 land mammals larger than sheep and about 1,360 smaller than rats. So the ark could easily have
accommodated a pair of all these animals.
So, tha ark had the volume and space for all the animal kinds,
after the flood, with time and breeding, each kind developed
variety, just like humanity, who restarted the population we see
today with just 4 breeding pairs, and you can see the variety of
human "races" existing today.

The CIA has sattelite photos of the Ark. I was doing research for a book 5 years ago asking questions using the Freedom of Information Act and as an aside asked for those too. In the letter I got back the CIA told me they were reviewing those photos for declassification and the writer thought I would get a letter in 6 months or so saying they were declassified, but I never did. The site is the Turkish border where there is a lot of militia activity and fighting and the area is considered of national security importance, so whether they'll be declassified or not is anyone's guess at this point.
Regular satellite photos are available at http://www.space.com/php/multimedia/zoomviewer/index.php?display_img=ararat but they are, of course, not as detailed as those of the National Reconnaissance defense satellites.

i don't know exactly how big it was but it was pretty big, definitely big enough for all of the animals. if you have trouble believing that all species fit in it, then think of it this way. they were on the boat for about a year, so he could easily have taken infants in the beginning. especially with dinosaurs which never stopped growing their entire life. also, most different kinds (e.g. dogs and cats) came from a single ancestor which is all that was needed to later repopulate the earth.

The dimensions are given in The Bible... God can do what God wants to do.... if he wants all of the animals to fit in a row boat they will all fit in a row boat... there is no limit within this universe to what God can do if he wants to... he could well make an elephant the size of a mouse... so over crowding was not a problem nor was the need for food... God provided all that was needed.....

It's a fairy tale. You can't ask questions about fairly tales.

If you gonna accept that Noah saved a pair of each animals, accept it and believe it. Don't ask how because it didn't happen physically; it happened in your mind.

Should I say imagination, or creative thinking from 200 years ago?
