If you had pimples ( acne I suppose) you should be very very careful about the moisturizer you use as well as the washing gel. Do not buy recklessly some moisturizer on which is written, oil-free, for mixed or oily skin. You need to use a brand that has proven properties on problematic skin as you describe yours. I strongly will recommend you to search for moisturizer that is medically proven, for prone to acne and imperfaction skin, great brand is "La Roche Posay", and their great moisturizer, specially adapted for your skin Effaclar matte.
Apply the acne medication before the cream and on that areas do not put anything else ( including the moisturizer).
Hope that is of help.
Have a great day!

Here is the beauty remedy I've used since I was a teen, shared with many and swear by - buy some witch hazel (about 2 bucks and usually near the rubbing alcohol on store shelves) and Oil of Olay complete at your local drug store (a no-oil, light moisturizer with SPF). After washing your face with face wash and exfoliating with a light exfoliate (like St. Ives peach scrub - it's the best), put the witch hazel on your face with a cotton disc. The witch hazel works as an astringent and closes your pores after their clean to prevent bacteria backup that lead to pimples and black heads (witch hazel is also very refreshing and can be used to calm sunburns in the summertime). Then put on your acne medication then followed by Oil of Olay complete. Do this before you go to bed, go out in the sun and under makeup.
I put some links below so that you can see what the products look like. I should get residuals from the companies, LOL - but I'm just a big fan and they work!
good luck!

Go to the Clinique counter and they can give you a free skin assessment. I love Clinique products, they are the only ones that work on my oily/acne prone skin. I used EVERYTHING out on the market 7 years ago, and haven't changed my routine since. If you have an oily t-zone like me, you don't need to use moisturizer on it everyday. The girls at the counter were the best at getting me into a great skin care routine that I still use 7 days later. Plus if you buy your stuff when they have the free gift time, you get cool stuff for free too.

Use a high quality, oil free moisturizer. All lotion, make up, etc. needs 5 minutes between applications to soak into the skin. Moisturize first before acne medicine.
Acne Statin is wonderful for both, and leaves my skin in great shape. I also have used Clinique & Estee Lauder with good results.
Going for a more high-end product costs more initially, but in the end it lasts so much longer that it is more cost effective with far superior results.
Also take care of the skin from the inside out, 2 litres of water daily, 5 servings of produce daily, exercise & rest.
The condition of your skin is an excellent barometer of how well you are taking care of yourself for total health.
Take good care =)

I actually have a similar situation.. i take advantage of Cetaphil Cream.. No SPF (it burns my face) that's large, even though it leaves a greasy experience/seem.. so that you ought to provide it a touch time to sink in,, As for lips.. sure To Carrots Lip Butter is reliable.. the Citrus is extra useful at moisturizing than the Berry, or i imagine so.. I also use the unique Burt's Bees.. they have a mango one which i have heard reliable stuff about.. i purchased it, yet have not were given to attempting it yet! inspite of the actuality that you do, stay far flung from lip products that contain Petrolatum (contemporary in Vaseline, Neosporin Lip treatment, Lypsyl) granted they are going to make your lips unchapped/ un dry faster.. yet once you provide up using them, you lips will be worse off than previously.!

OK if your oily skinned and have blemishes you should use and oil free moisturiser, just so you don't get more breakouts. Oil will bloke the pores. so opt for oil free moisturiser, foundations, SPF, etc.
as for your acne medicine use is before you apply moisturiser, and if you can try to avoid putting moisturiser on the area you are treating. good luck.

use a moisturizer thats oil free-
did you know that even your oily, its good to your skin..it stop your skin to have wrinkles,
also use an oil-blotter it absorbs oil from your skin, unlike using powder it can clog your pores then, you get pimples.
it is effective when you only put acne medicine to your pimple then the other parts that dont have acne, put a moisturizer.
also use a sun protection...
try l'oreal moisturizer...
