Why Italy should be closed in January ?? Don't worry ,come to Italy and you'll find everything is open (just museums are closed on Monday ...!!..)
But I'm not familiar with Millan and Venes...did you mean Milan and Venice (Milano e Venezia in Italian) ?

Italy is always "open"!!!!! and in january you can find all the prices reducted for clothes!!
