ummm.......
i think he was kidding around, but being as he was an alcoholic, its hard to say for sure..... but when i was in high school from junior to senior year i dated a lot of different girls, and one day like 4 girls called my house at various times, which prompted my dad to call me "a s-l-u-t".
i didnt get mad or anything, but i couldnt tell if he was just joking with me or if he was serious or what.
he said other stuff too, but thats the only one i remember right now.... or, maybe i just blacked the rest out... lol.

Ok here goes. On a regular basis my mother used to tell my brother and I that we made her sick.
The worst thing my dad ever said to me was his answer to my question did he think I was pretty. He told me I'd pass in a crowd. Those took me quite a while to get past but as I grew and matured I realized they didn't know any better they could only work with what they had been given by their parents. I have forgiven them both for the hurt that those statements caused me over the years of my growing up.

When I was 16, I liked to sing along to songs on the radio, but I always did it alone, 'cause I was really shy. Well, one time, my mom heard me, when I didn't know she was behind me. She said, "You sound like a sick cow!" That one little phrase totally distroyed me, as I always wanted to sing in choir, but my mom wouldn't let me join any after school programs. Guess what I do now? I sing solos in church! And I've been requested to sing at weddings, funerals and other functions too. So Mom, you're WRONG!!! Oh by the way...what does this question have to do with religion? Just wondering. <*)))><

Maybe too many years have passed ... I can't think of a single thing they ever said to me that affected me negatively. All I can remember is encouragement and positive statements. Go figure.

My mom called me a "son of a b****." Thought it was pretty ironically funny. And oddly enough, it's probably the worst thing she ever said to me.

Honest?
Too many to pick from. How could I choose just one thing?
Ok...Here's one: "Not another word out of you, do you understand me? Not another word! Answer me when I'm talking to you".
(and all in one sentence???) Too confusing....I never got it right!

"Don't make me stop this car!" (Father's hand waving wildly towards the back seat, hitting whatever he happened to hit... us in the back seat laughing at him). Mount Palomar was never so fun (1960).
