Everyone I know likes watermelon...except for me. When I see people eating it, it looks really good but when I try to take bite out of it I start to gag. In my opinion watermelon is tasteless...I don't understand how people can enjoy it.
Anyway, it's just funny how people like or dislike different things when it comes to food. Why is that? Do we all have different type of taste buds or something?

You take a million people, a million brains wired a bit differently and a million foods to munch on. I'll bet that not one of them will eat the same order as anyone else.
Taste is a very personal thing. It depends on your upbringing, family habits, food availability, personal interest and last but not least it depends on how you see yourself. You see, people are what they eat.
At least that is what the old-saying says.

Because if we all enjoyed the same kinds of food, the farmers that grow all of the other crops would go out of business, have to resort to crime, and break into your house, and steal all of your prized possessions, and be forced to murder you, after you awakened to find them in your home. Now, aren't you glad that everyone has different tastes?

Good melons from Provence where I used to spend summertime are excellent and very tasty. Personally I add gound pepper on melons when they are not very tasty and they become much more fruity. try it !!

It's alll in the genetics. Either you have the genes for good taste or you don't.
