Im 17 and turning 18 in may. Im moving to NY after I graduate in May to start acting. I am wanting to act on the big screen. Is getting a tattoo a smart move if I am wanting to start acting? Or would that hurt my chances by having one? I am getting a cross. PLEASE HELP ME! I WILL BE GETTING ONE THIS THURSDAY (11/30/06) IF I DO GET ONE! PLEASE HELP!

Get one...They have all sorts of make-ups for that. My second cousin is a guy named charlie hunnam and on his last movie, you couldn't see his real tatto on his tummy in his shirtless scene. And he is proffesional

Think of it this way...it may not hurt, but it certainly won't help. Personally, if I were at all concerned about it, I wouldn't do it. You can always get a tattoo later, after you become a big star and everybody wants to work with you.

it depends on the size and location of the tattoo. you want to go to auditions looking as professional as possible and, though they are more and more common, tattoos still don't look very professional.
also, after your tattoo heals, you can invest in makeup to cover it. this comes in handy for times when you don't want it to show. you just have to find one that will match your skin tone.
one other thing, if you have the slightest doubt that you want this tattoo...WAIT. you can always get one later.
if it was up to me, i'd wait a while. see what happens in ny, then worry about a tattoo.

I personaly don't think it's a good idea
I don't have any and really find it a turn off to find one on a woman or a man besides the word f God says that we shouldn't do it there has been one who was pierced already for our sins and that we shouldn't mark the body

NO....absolutely NOT. Your still very young...you have many yrs
ahead of you...to even think about that. It may seem "trendy" to
you...it's not. It is on your body all your life. You just may regret
getting one right now. I've been there...I waited till my late 20's.
Be a Smart Girl. In my opinion it wouldn't be a good decision.....

No....unless you plan on being an Oscar winner who's seeing Brad Pitt, I'd say skip the tattoo. Get it after you've established yourself as an actress.

Do things if you are very comfortable as no one can tell you what to do.

However if you are persuing acting it would be good that you srart fresh, dont allow the director or casting team to find any weakness in you or use the tattoo as somethhing, we like you but .........

Good luck

no, leave your body perfect...natural and clean, most people don't think tattos are attractive anyways..it's just drawing yon your body. most of the time they cover the tattoo anyways...how many people on the big screen do you see flaunting the tatta...none really. leave your bosy alone....you are beautiful, when you make it big, thattatto thing, will be a thing of the past...good luck in the goals...hope you make it big....
