I always think it is interesting that the vast majority of people, belive quite avidily, in the very smame religion they were "born into" and taught by there parents. It is very rare you find someone convert to catholosism who was originaly budist or vice versa. I mean, of all the vast religious believes out there what are the odds that the one that is right for a person, happens to be the one there parents belived? I was raised lutheran, but after exploring various different religoius paths, i find it to be one of the least complatible for me. Has anyone else out there noticed this trend, and if so have you explored other spiritual paths?

This is the same fact that religious people seem to ignore. Unless you are an open-minded, intelligent person your religion will be whatever you were born into. If your parents were Hindu, you'd be a Hindu. This simply fact should lead any reasonable person to the result that all world religions are false.

I so agree with you. It seems cultural more than religious when someone has the same beliefs as their parents. My parents were generally atheists but I grew a liking for Buddhism and least I know that it was my choice and not thrown upon me.

I was born and raised Catholic. Then I read the bible. I am not Catholic anymore. Some of us do change.
