No sight can grasp him, but he grasps all sight. He knows everything in the Heavans and Earth and between known and unknown, and hidden. He s the Highest Likeness of peace. His is the most merciful, but also Harsh in punishment. His wrath is great, but his love is all-emcompassing. He doesn't struggle or rest. He was born or begotten. Nothing in Creation or otherwise is comparable to him. Nothing is like him, he is the Most Unique.
Everything submits to him in its way of worship. He sees everything we do. He knows what in everyone's heart.

In Islam God is all-powerful and all-knowing. God has no gender. There is no equal to God-- God does not bear a child and does not have a partner.

God is an ever-merciful and just being, who is nothing at all like humans.

Chapter 112 of the Qur'an gives a very powerful description of God. The chapter is title "Al-Ikhlas," which is often translate as "The Unity" or "The Purity."

Chapter 112:
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
[112:1] Proclaim, "He is the One and only GOD.

[112:2] "The Absolute GOD.

[112:3] "Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten.

[112:4] "None equals Him."

He is the Creator of the universe and all living things on earth. He can hear every sound in the universe, can see every minute detail all in one time, knows what's in our thoughts, knows what will happen in the future (till end of time), the most Merciful, the most Forgiving, the most punishing when we insist on sinning.
There are seven skies above us; He resides on the upper one. He does not need to move around; since He can see and hear everything, He created.
The first three answers are perfect (the ones I read so far) I don't know if I missed anything. I just want you to know that we fear God's anger so much, that we cannot even make jokes about him or even call him names, as I see on this site. He has given us life plus many other graces, the least we can do, is to show respect. I mean if a Muslim cannot stay away from life's seductions, he can refrain from mentioning the Creator in a disrespectful manner.
