During the day the temperature is pretty mild if it's sunny, but a little chilly if it's cloudy or rainy (and rain is common in December). At night it will be cool to fairly cold, but almost certainly above freezing in the main part of the city (though in the San Fernando Valley and other valleys there will probably be at least a few nights at or below freezing).

Statisically, December is the coldest month of the year. The lowest daytime high I've ever seen is around 55 degrees. At night, it can get close to freezing. Sometimes it rains. But usually it's sunny and the sky is a crystal clear blue.

Winter is the reason people move here. Enjoy!

the weather can totally change here in cali. I have lived my whole life and the weather can be surprising.. For the most part it is chilly in Dec which is late 60's and 70's. It can get to the 80's its just dependant if rain comes in or if the wind kicks in.. It should be sunny but not entirely warm....

Paul got here alongside after Jesus replaced into long gone. previously Paul, Christianity replaced into in basic terms a reform circulate of Judaism, yet Paul desperate it is going to be a separate faith, and it is going to be proselytized to Pagans. Paul set up church homes all over the Roman Empire. He observed many pagan traditions as Christian ones. each Pagan faith had a occasion around the time of the winter Solstice, the time whilst days provide up getting shorter and start up getting longer. this would have long gone returned to pre-historic cases, whilst the priesthood could do some form of ceremony around that factor and the days began getting longer, and individuals would desire to come to have faith it replaced into the ceremony that -made- days start up getting longer, preferable to the top of winter and yet another planting season. This replaced into activity risk-free practices for the clergymen! From a Christian attitude, it made experience to have an excellent holiday on the time whilst quite everyone else replaced into having an excellent holiday. and because no person relatively is conscious whilst Jesus replaced into born, why no longer? Easter too, replaced right into a Pagan ceremony to welcome the appearance of Spring, and to ask the gods for a sturdy 12 months, healthy vegetation, fertility of animals, etc. The very be conscious 'Easter' is the call of a Pagan goddess! 8^)

In Los angeles the weather in December can be vairible. I have lived her my whole life. It can be warm in the 80's and the next day it can dip in the upper 30's and 40's. do not be fooled by those who say jsut wear a T shirt. If you come to Los Angeles in December be prepared for cool weather yet have something in case it gets warm really quick.
