Its really not all that hard... especially when you are dealing with government workers. Old Dirty Bastard used his welfare card as a CD cover and it took a while for anything to happen

This question is the perfect example of why we need laminated, tamper-proof Social Security cards with some sort of I.D. on them, like the holder's fingerprint - and a nationwide data base.
Since SS cards don't have photo's on them, and driver's licenses do, it's a helluva lot easier to use a stolen SS card.
This issue is not only to prevent illegal aliens from using stolen I.D.'s - it is an issue of national security. As it stands, we have NO IDEA who is coming into our country across our unprotected borders, or for what reason. This issue is way more serious than "what the antis are saying". When will people wake up to the fact that the security of our nation is at stake here?

Illegals get their SS cards at swap meets for a few bucks. Does anyone actually think that they are going to go to the SS office any try to get one. I don't think so.
You can get a myriad of fake documents for the right price anywhere.

Document forgeries and ID theft have become high science in Mexico...one more good reason for the US/Mexico border fence. It's good to see you're finally starting to get down to some of the bigger problems with Mexico, there, bravo!

Thats a bunch of BS. illegals can fool the DMV. Just bribe the right people and you can get a license. I know of someone that did just that.

Because you need to show lots more documentation than just a social security card to get a driver's license. I needed three things: ss#, birth certificate, and like a bill or something else. PITA.
