Personally I love the United Kingdom. It's got a rich history and its a nice place (I hate London for the smog though). And the Brits (at least the ones I know) are really nice folk.

You're not a native of the U.K. Also the use of periods is always a nice touch. I love the U.K., but immigration is a major problem there as well as the U.S. Plus how does the U.S. exploit immigrants? Additionally the United States WAS George Washington's mother land. He was born in Virginia. Also it is Osama bin Laden. Perhaps you have confused him with the American Actor Vin Diesel. Osama bin Laden never served in the U.S. military although there are old rumors that the CIA originally funded him in the 80's (later to be found false). I think poor english and grammatical skills are more of a plague on the world than Americans.

I'm not going to knock the UK. It's a fine country. However, if the USA is so terrible, then how come so many people from so many places wish to immigrate here, so much so that they will violate the laws and sneak in?

The USA did not win WW2 alone. However, Britain could not have done it without us. The USA served as the arsenal of democracy, supplying a great deal of the arms, machines, supplies and people used to support Britain and defeat the Nazis. If the Nazis were not fighting us on the western front, they would have crushed the Russians on the eastern front.

Comparing George Washington and bin Laden is ignorant. Washington was leading a uniformed army against an occupying army, to free a nation. He did not target civilians, nor spread terror.

bin Laden on the other hand is trying to spread his version of Islam through murder and terrorizing of innocent civilians, around the world.

Washington sought to increase man's liberty. Washington even gave up the title of King when offered to him. bin Laden seeks to force us to convert to his religion, force us to live under Sharia Law, or kill us.

Immigration to any country is never easy - just ask some Americans whose parents came to the US from other countries.

I've been to "England" and it's in shambles. The Republic of Ireland is outperforming you which I think is really funny. Australia is so far ahead of you that it isn't even funny, they're leaving you in the dust. Scotland would be much better off without you as well, that is, as an independent member-nation of the EU.

It seems places and people have a way of getting ahead of you when they break off from you. You've got so few exports that you'll be a 'token' member of the EU.
