another question for muslims?

ok now i have recieved a lot of answers on my previous question [thanks those who have answered.]

now i hear a lot "muslims don't hate gays, we just don't like when they act on it."

are you guys inferrign to acting to the sex part, or acting upon going out with fellow members of the same sex?

The sexual act between two unmarried people in any religion is considered sinful, regardless homo or hetero.

In Islam particularly, you are only sinful if you actually act out the transgression. By merely thinking will not make it sinful. But of course it opens doors.

That is why when the prophet talks about zina (unlawful sexual acts. Not just adultery), it covers many aspect other than penetrative sex. Eye zina (pornography), mouth zina (phone sex!!?), ear zina (listening to baad lyrics) and of course hand zina (you know that already). All come with varying degrees of sins...

There is no specific terms for 'gays'. However there is 'liwaat' or sodomy. Liwaat comes from the root word 'Lot' and therefore a direct reference to the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. In Islam, Liwaat and Zina are viewed equally as aberrations.

If we start hating the practitioners of Sodomy and Non-marital Sex, then there'd probably be nobody left to love...

Just a thought.

Yes,muslims don`t hate gays,but hate what they did,especially having sex with other gay.If they just go out and have fun,it`s nothing to do with it.It`s about obey your religion.

We as Muslims and many other relegions are referring it to be unnatural, and by that I mean the whole enchilada, and taking that into consideration; the role of man and woman is to get married to have children who of course grow-up, and the purpose of people is to worship God.

Well simply have you heard of Sodom and Gomorrah. After which sodomy was named. Its this act that is the sin for a man or a woman its forbidden.

in Islam (as well as Judaism and Christianity) both sex before marriage and homosexual sex are considered sins. feeling inclined to these things is not sinful... but the action is.

sex is viewed as blessing for married ppl with the intention of having children.

Homosexuals argue that they did not make a conscious decision to be that way, so it must be natural. They are born that way—just as all of us are born with a sin nature and sinful desires (Ephesians 2:1– ). Tell them that it is natural for them, and for all of us, to be tempted to do things that God says are wrong. In the same way, pedophiles and adulterers (alcoholics, drug addicts, etc.) don’t make a conscious decision to "choose" that self-destructive lifestyle, they simply give in to their sinful desires. However, although sin is natural for unbelievers, that doesn’t mean God wants them to remain that way. God can set them free from their sinful nature (Romans 7:23–8:2), give them new desires (Ephesians 4:22–24), and help them withstand temptations (1 Corinthians 10:13).

sakina is right and the sentence is not quite right. we dont hate gays, we dont want them to be dead; we want them not to be gay. you know, its disturbing... do you enjoy disturbing ppl? of course not but being gay is another way of disturbing ppl. dont be gay then. this is why we dont like gays. but we dont hate and/or kill them either. we just want you to not disturb ppl or be gay... that's it!...
