I've never seen anyone become a Christian because he/she lost an argument. It's like..someone becomes a Christian because he/she is led by the Holy Spirit. It's not like, "Oh, you proved me wrong, I guess I'm a Christian now." It just makes atheists and agnostics look for more answers to stay away from Christianity. They're so desperate to stay away from it...I don't know why.

I doubt anyone Will be convinced by anyone Else's argument and change in an instant. However, once a mind has been expanded by an idea, it can never go back to it's original size. If you alter the course of a ship by even a half degree, the destination will change... I am an empiricist, but I am an incrementalist too

No. I would like to think that people would at least consider another's opinions, but the reality is they will not. Some of these questions should make some Christians question not their faith, but their beliefs, but they don't and won't. Too much work I guess, or they want to fit in with the church they go to even though much of what is taught makes absolutely no sense when you consider their interpretation of the Bible.

No but I hope that many people have and will continue to learn more about the real truth regaurding Christians. The media portrays Christians as nerds and bigets, and thats not true. I also hope that people will continue to learn more about the Bible/

Hey music girl, nice to meet you too
I became an atheist largely due to internet conversations. Not "yahoo answers" because it didn't exist then

That would really be something!
But besides the crushing majority of those who ask "questions" to keep themselves busy, the tiny minority of the others already have something on their minds before asking.

I was agnostic when I came to Y!A. Over the past few months, all the contradictions that have been posted have convinced me God is not real.
