wisdom teeth are nothing but the 3rd molars , and is the last tooth to be errupted in the mouth , it erupts between the age of 17 - 21 years , not every person needs to to be pulled out , it depends whether the wisdom tooth has got suffiecient space for errupting in the space provided by your jaw , when ever there is insufficient space the wisdom tooth gets impacted and gives u pain and some times sweeling and infection of gums around the partly errupted wisdom tooth which is called pericorinitis . so the persons in which wisdom has got impacted, should get their tooth to be extracted .

it doesn't fall out or exfoliate itself as its not a milk tooth , its a permanent tooth which errupts at age of 17 - 21

No it doesnt fall out when ur a child. U dont even have it when ur a child. It comes out later on as u grow up. And these are the strongest deep rooted teeth. U dont have to get them out if they are not causing problems. I have had all my 4 wisdoms pulled, and trust me, it wasnt a easy ride in the park. Lol, I wonder how i am even answering u, i lost all my wisdom :P

Trust me, you'd remember if you had them pulled out. I had to have all 4 of mine done in the operating room put under anesthesia and then I couldnt eat for days. I lived on Percocet and apple juice. My sister actually had something uncommon called 'dwarf' wisdom teeth, which were actually a second underdeveloped set. She had to have 8 total removed! I remember her sitting on the couch with ice packs on her face and I said 'the last time I saw those ice packs was after my husbands vasectomy' hehehe

What Tiff said. Some people are lucky and never get them. You can get only some of them too. You usually have to get them surgically removed. They can come in as early as 15.

Not everyone has widsom teeth. And they don't fall out, you need to go to the dentist if you need them to be taken out.
