what you mean is unclear
i assume as this is the NY section you mean NYC
there are 5 boroughs in NY
each area has a specific name within that borough like pelham bay area or flatbush area but there are no towns
in the suburbs of nyc and in ny state there are manycounties made up of towns villages and cities

There are towns within the NYC limits, if that is what you are asking. Not many of them, but there are some in Queens for sure.
