Why is it that we look at other drivers as we are driving? Are we sizing them up? Checking them out? Seeing if we know them?

Its the people that have tunnel vision that don't look around that might cause more concern...
Next high concern Driver is the Cell Phone drivers.

This has long been an issue with me. I never started doing it, but I find everyone else looking at me and not paying attention to their driving. I have seen accidents caused by people paying attention to complete strangers and not to their driving. I am interested in what explanations you will get for why people do this.

curiosity, I like to see if the car they are driving matches what they look like. If they are driving bad I want to see if they are doing something to cause them to drive bad... usually they are.
and when I say look, I mean brief look not stare so long I drive off the road

This is a common reaction as we drive. Our defense mechanism are on alert and active to our surroundings. We are always aware of our surroundings in case we need to maneuver quickly to avoid controversy.

i know i do it for many reasons but generaly its to see what kind of person is driving what they are doing if they arint paying attention. if there a hot gurl. if they seem like theyll race or if i know the car say whats up to the driver

i usually look at them if they are driving bad or slow or they are driving a nice car and i want to see who is driving it. it is a bad habit i must admit

Your subconscious mind wants to see them for use in sexual fantasy dreams later at night which you will not remember.
