I want to redo my room. Anyone have any good ideas for making a headboard that is not too expensive?

cover you old head board or anything that's big enough with a funky fabric, it turns out really cute.

Go to any home depot or lowes, and ask if you can have any of their old crates that they dont want anymore. You will need the longer ones... Take them apart and nail the boards side to side, make it at least 4 inches longer than the width of your bed. Then, at home depot, check out their selection of OOOppps. Paint, Which are paints they mixed wrong. They are usually very cheap. Or... You could use old clothing and staple it to your new head board. It would make a "quilt" like look. You could do so many things ...

You can find one at an auction and cover it in upholstery fabric or repaint it. I've also seen people use things like sections of wrought iron or picket fence or trellis as a headboard. Be creative and try to think outside the norm for materials to use. :)

Get a guy who can cut the wood for you with the router thing or do it yourslef and have fun.

trellis ie expanding timber that is often used in the garden nicely painted will look good and different
