Supertones, Switchfoot, Junkyard prophet, KJ52, and Brian Stipe former singer of Creed has a very good solo album. You can find alot of these bands at sound n spirit website, sound n spirit is Christian CD club affiliated W/ BMG. Listen to samples free.

My personal favorite is Relient K. They're a Christian group with an alternative sound and they aren't preachy.
Try MXPX, Switchfoot, Skillet, Ten Shekel Shirt, etc.
