I heard this kind of advice over and over again. Is it true? I have my doubts. I'm asking because I am attracted to shy men, and I am curious about how to approach them without being pushy or aggressive. Shy men will ask eventually if they're really interested?

****I really want to ask him for his phone number. Not too aggressive? Should I go for it?****

No. Some guys are so shy they will suffer in silence. However if you asked them out I think theyd accept. Asking someone to go out for coffee wouldnt be pushy.

If a guy is extremely shy, he will ask you out or let you know subtly. No he won't come out completely and tell you, but there will be little hints to let you know he likes you. If you notice them and act upon them you wouldn't be too pushy. The sooner you do it the better, b/c the less likely he will mistake your move for friendship. really shy guys will have a tendency to just make friends with girls b/c they usually aren't too shy too make friends just close the deal. He's kinda like the girl in the relationship in that sense, like a girl might hint that she wants to see a certain movie to you and want to go with you, but won't tell you. Your best option is too ask him on a non-threatening date like a movie or something, where he won't have to do so much talking if he isn't comfortable. Make little moves to let him know ur into him. Grab his hand or jump towards him in a scary part of the movie. Like i said he will be kinda like the girl at least till he realizes how you really feel then he should be cool and open up.

OK, so I'm not a guy.

But . . .

My boyfriend is intensely shy. But he knew he wanted me. So, he went for it.

We're both positive that we've met our soulmates.

So, yeah, I think a lot of guys, no matter how shy, if they want you bad enough, they'll go for it. But this isn't true for all guys. It always depends.

As for approaching shy guys, I think it's important to remember that they are shy. Give them an opening. Tell them you'd like to hang out if they are interested. Break the ice so to speak. Then give him time and see what he does. I think his response will let you know if he's really interested or not.

From a shy guy: Hang around the guy, give him and you the time to be comfortable with each other, he will eventually make his move, be aggressive but make him wonder.

I had to nudge my shy guy to ask me out.. I think I would have been waiting a while.

I told him that I was going away with some girlfriends for the weekend and I would be going to parties, and that sort of got him to finally ask me out.

They need to take a hint sometimes without being pushed too hard, but if you both feel like you belong together it should be too hard

No. At least for me, unless I'm 100% sure of my success I won't make a move. I'm shy in that respect. If you dig shy guys, then you need to be the one to make the move. Don't get nervous about being aggressive. Aggresive girls compliment shy guys in terms of personality. Oposites attract and all that jazz.

Usually a shy man will not go for a girl if he sees she is not somewhat like him.
If you think he likes you but he is not ready to say yet, make the move yourself by getting closer, invite him on something.
He'll go if he likes you, and he won't mind if you are pushy.
And if he likes you and does not go, hes is dumb.

NO...a shy guy will stand there until it falls off before he'll make a move.
Leaves more for us guys with self confidence.
