I mean...if you meet a mormon, most are, well, impossibly happy. i don't know why. maybe brainwashing or two many wives. But mormons say to test the faith and the mainstream church says polygamy-bad.

I don't think that we are any different then other people. We can be happy, but we can also be down. We have all the same trials as other religions. You wouldn't be able to tell that I'm a Mormon or not. Do we have a sence of peace, yes. There is alot of peace and understanding from what we believe, we don't have alot of questions about what life is all about or what is coming or what to expect. We believe that families are forever. That the ones we love here on this earth will still be apart of our lives even beyond the grave. But we also grieve, cry, and yes laugh. Life is what it is. We just believe in strong family values, we only have one woman with one man to make a husband and wife union. Polygamy is no longer practiced, and is in fact not allowed, those found having more then one wife are excommunicated. I have provided a link that will give you further info.

but over all I wouldn't say that we are any more happy then others. I live in Utah and can't say that many of my friends are like impossibly happy. That question though makes me laugh!

We are generally happy because we try to live within the bounds that the Lord has established for us. We have a strong relationship with the Savior. We understand our purpose here on earth. There are many, many other reasons why we are happy. That said, we are also subject to trials, tests, and opposition in life just like everyone else. These often bring heartache, pain, and other struggles to our lives. Understanding the Savior's atonement, however, makes it possible for us to find peace in the difficult times.

Um because we know the true plan of salvation has been restored to the earth, we know we can live with God, Christ, our spouse and our families forever...
Another "name" for the gospel is The Plan of Hapiness...
Being truly happy is knowing who we are, where we came from, why we are here and where we can go!
I love the gospel, I love the blessings I receive for following the teachings and the commandments. Living by these prinicples will truly bring a happiness and peace that will not only be present of earth but that will last through eternity.

What ones are you looking at? I know a lot of them that are not happy and it is much more common for depression to hit Mormon women in midlife. Mormon women have such a load on them if they want to saved according to their church.

I've never noticed that they are so happy. Maybe it's an act. Maybe at home their miserable sons of b(&(%'s to their wives.
