I've made this for the last 10 yrs for the holidays. Everyone loves it and I never have any leftovers.
Cranberry Mousse
20 ounces crushed pineapple
1 cup water
6 ounces cranberry gelatin
16 ounces whole cranberry sauce
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
8 ounces sour cream
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Drain the pineapple, reserving the liquid. Add the liquid and water to the gelatin in saucepan and stir. Boil until the gelatin dissolves; remove from the heat.
Pour the gelatin into a large Pyrex serving bowl. Blend in the cranberry sauce, lemon juice, grated peel and nutmeg. Chill until the mixture thickens slightly, then blend in the sour cream. Fold in the pineapple and pecans. Chill until firm, about two to four hours, or overnight.

My mom started serving pork ribs. While everyone else was bringing turkey and ham, the ribs went faster than santa on his sleigh.
She just cooks them all day at 250 and then serves up one dish of seasoned only and one with the old BBQ sauce. But the slow cook has the meat falling off the bone, literally!!! Its great!!
Season heavily with onion powerder, garlic poweder and basil. A little water in the bottom. THen cover with foil. Use your favorite BBQ sauce if so desired.
Now... if you have to go somewhere for christmas, cook them on 250, all night. Longer you cook pork, the more tender it becomes.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Beat butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Add dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
Roll into 1-inch balls about the size of a walnut (larger if desired). Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Drain cherries and reserve juice. Press center of each ball with thumb. Place a cherry in indentation.
In a saucepan, heat condensed milk and chocolate chips until chips are melted. Stir in 4 teaspoons of cherry juice. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of mixture over each cherry and spread to cover cherry. (More cherry juice may be added to keep frosting of spreading consistency.)
Bake for 10 minutes.
