This has to be a War! What do you think?

You have to like Chavez at this weight over Morrales. Chavez was strong and a relentless body puncher and also had a great chin. Morrales would hit him with the best right hands that money can buy and Julio wouldn't flinch. Roger Mayweather was a terrific right handed puncher at 130 and he couldn't put a dent in Julio. I see Julio banging Erik's body and walking through some good fire by Morrales and chopping him down en route to a 9th round stoppage. Nice question Pancho!

In 2004, he was ranked #6 pound for pound current fighter

Titles at 130, 135 and 140

This fight could been held at 135 or 140.
Chavez is too strong in this fight and wears down Morales to gain a 10 rd KO.

Marco A. Barrera also won 3 titles. WBO 122, WBC 126, WBC/IBF 130, not just EM and JCC.
JCC is an all time legend, maybe the greatest at 130-135, though most know him from 140. He was much stronger and faster than Eric.
He would batter Eric, though Eric's will and heart would keep him around for 9 rounds.

Chavez was a bull at this weight. As great as Morales is he wouldn't stand a chance. Chavez wears Morales down with a brutal body attack and KO's him in round 9.

Only two Mexican boxers have ever won titles at three separate weight divisions, Morrales and Julio César Chávez. Both were warriors in the ring but El Terrible in his prime takes out Chávez. He was a great technician with incredible knockout ability ... he'll be missed.

superb fight ,would have been a cracker.i think the difference would have been chavezs busier work rate and faster hands.both fighters would have been rocked a few times, but i think chavez would have won a decision.morales is a warrior and has a great chin,so i dont think chavez would have stopped him. i dont understand arnold j saying manny paquio by k.o. were not talking a three way fight here are we?

In his prime, Chavez would've won easily.
