I want a mastercard and/or visa that will pay me better than 1% cash back on every purchase, not just for a limited intro time but permanently and everywhere, not just certain locations. Are they're any cards like or close to this? and I do not want any card that doesn't allow you to get cold hard cash as your reward.

There are different plans out there, some limit the total cash back for the year, some only give it on certain types of purchases, there are dozens of plans out there, so read the fine print, and you may need to utilize more than one so you can get the most bang for your buck.

Visa and mastercard are not credit card themselves. You have to find the issuing bank i.e Bank of america, Chase, CITI etc to see who offers teh best cash back.
