Well, since there's a little thing called a Presidential election coming up in 2 years time (where a lot of the newly elected will have to run again, by he way...), we can start calling those "honorable" members of Congress and let them know how we feel.

Here's the thing- nothing's been hashed out yet, and what Joe Biden said yesterday goes against what some of the hardcore leftists want. Add to that the possibility of something bad occuring originating south-of-the-border, and anything can happen. The Mexican drug cartels have started decapitating people, amongst other niceties, and it's just a matter of time before that particular "job Americans don't want to do" spreads north- I'd love to see a politician call for "amnesty" when American heads are rolling in the streets!!!

Definitely not, and neither do the Democrats. As I recall, Bush was the one considering amnesty for illegals if the guest worker program didn't pass Congress.

What I've done about it is to vote the Demos back into office. They will go after the employers who hire the illegals. They'll also raise the federal minimum wage so that more legal citizens/aliens will take the jobs that now go to illegals.

Democrats breaking the laws must be tried in courts or impeached. Nobody must be above the law.

This isn't a Democrat vs Republican question: it seems to be a business question. With so many small businesses using illegals, I would imagine there are more GOP supporters using illegals than Democrats.

And you can always report someone to the INS if you think they are using illegal aliens.

Bush wants amnesty for the illegals maybe the Democrats will come to an agreement with him or maybe it won't happen.time will tell.

I wish I knew. Americans want things but are too lazy to do anything significant about them. All they want to do is b.itch. What can I say? Quite different from the 60s when people had balls.

Well with the change of the majority in the house and senate in the last election Democrats may be making, not breaking, the laws.

Thats it. Blame it on the Democrats!

Wasn't amnesty Bush's idea?

I can do absolutely nothing about it.
I can vote any which way, and it doesn't matter.
I can cry a river in front of my congress person's office, and nothing would happen. Except maybe a bunch of Mexicans trying to cross that river.
