It amazes me how mortal men find themselves so much wiser than God. True Christians with true wisdom know what I am asking.

Christians (typically) receive the Holy Spirit for the frst time at baptism.

The Blessed Virgin received the Holy Spirit at conception.

St. John the Baptist received the Holy Spirit in his mother's womb.

The apostles received the Holy Spirit officially at Pentecost, and demonstrably, many other times, as well.

Well ths is a hard question to answer. I was saved at the age of 6. I got the spirit of christ at that time. Recieved dreams from God at the age of 6, 7 till i was 20 or so. And they came to pass.
Then recieved the baptisem of the Holy Spirit at the age of 37, Heard God the Father speak at 38, was persucated for 5 years then. Saw the holy spirit at the age of 43. So when did i recieve the holy spirit. Well i would say when i was in the womb, Those he predestined he forknew per the scripture. And I have knew him all my adult life. This is a good question per the scripture we recieve it all at salvation. But i know for a fact that we recieve over time by obidence and time is required.

They tried to force that idea into me when i was young, but I rebelled.. And because of it, I am of a dogmatic-free mind, meaning i have a good balance of an open mind with skepticm. I learnt that you don't need any "holy spirit" to be happy, you just need to stop selfish tendencies by doing the opposite, becoming selfless...

when you start changing your character to Christ like. Holy Spirit is dynamic life. He will change you life into action where God like you to do. See what happen in pentacost day, early apostles were afraid and undecided but when they were baptized by the Holy Spirit they recieved the power to preach the good news on that day of pentacost it was record breaking because they have 3,000 converts on records. The secret of recieving the Holy Spirit for a christians was a total surrender to Jesus. to accept Christ as you new king where your oldself was a former king. then Holy Spirit will sanctify the life of christian to a Chist like life once you accept Jesus into your life. your old body will die together with Christ in the cross to have new life like resurrected Christ.

I first received the "holy spirit" in church as a child. Then after I deconverted at around 18 I realized that everyone gets that feeling..I get it now from certain kinds of music and nature.

Edit:
That is one reason I hate Christianity. You think you are privy to something special and you are not. And they ask what separates us into Us vs. Them? It's people like you who think you are special.
