The bible says to be absent from the body is to be present before the Lord.
Yes, when you die, you go before the judgement seat of Christ, and go to where you have chosen to spend eternity.

Not unless you are defining hell as the common grave as the Bible does. If you are, then yes. Since the first resurrection has begun, any who have been chosen to go to heaven and rule as kings and priests with Christ, go there as soon as they die. But, the Bible promises a second resurrection for those who remain in the grave when God's Kingdom takes over the rulership of the earth.

Neither. You are only asleep in your grave waiting for the day of judgment. The bible tells us that the dead know nothing. Ask yourself this....If everyone went to heaven or Hell when they die, What is the use for a resurrection, Jesus' second coming, or judgment day?

Good question. I've heard both views, but I think there is time between death and heaven or hell. Maybe we will have to wait until Judgement Day, maybe there is purgatory, and maybe we do in fact immediately go one way or the other. I think there will be plenty of waiting after death.

When a person dies, their body is buried OR is cremated and the ashes either buried or scattered.

For those who are "in Christ", they will be absent from the body and present with the Lord.

If they are not "in Christ" then they will be in Sheol / Hades / torments.

Yes, they go straight there ... no purgatory, no second chances.
