I don't know about the japnese fruit sandwich but I have a recipe I love!Try it!

Fruit Sandwich Recipe


Recipe Ingredients:

3 tb Sm-curd cottage cheese;
2 tb Apple, or pear, or apricot
-chopped
2 tb Slivered almonds;
2 tb Pineapple crushed
-in natural juice
2 sl Bread (any kind)


Recipe Instructions:

In a small bowl, mix all ingredients (except the bread) together.
You may need to add a little more cottage cheese to bind the ingredients.
Spread the mixture on the bread.
This sandwich is especially good when served on some quick beards such as banana bread, zucchini bread or any other quick breads.

2/3 cup shiratama-ko (glutinous rice flour) 1/2 - 2/3 cup water 1 1/2 cup anko PREPARATION: Put shiratama-ko in a bowl. Add water slowly until the dough becomes as soft as earlobes. Knead the dough. Make small oval-shaped dumplings. Boil water in a large pan and add the dumplings. Boil the dumplings until they float Remove the dumplings and cool in cold water. Drain the water and serve dumplings in individual plates and put anko (sweet azuki beans) on the top.

I don't know what is Japanese fruit sandwich exactly.
However, when I was child, my mom often made this sandwich with Banana.

When I was kid, I remember it was nice. But today I don't wanna eat this too much (banana is too sweet to me now).
But the combination of the mayonnaise and thinly sliced bananas was not bad.
