It is better to go to the dr. asap rather than wait. Treating mental illnesses has come a long way and if you catch it early enough you can get on meds and gain control. I really hope you will go talk to the doctor. Don't be embarrassed, fearful, or ashamed. They deal with it all the time. It's not uncommon.

Well, normally I'd say most of your symtoms sound like basic bouts of forgetfullness and short-attention spans, which usually occur for one of two reasons: you have something on your mind, nagging at you and disrupting your memory and concentration, OR poor diet. Anemia--especially in women--can cause all those symtpoms you mentioned. You might try some B-complex vitamins, and make sure they include Thiamin, which improves the firing of your brain cells. (Cells "communicate by "firing" chemicalsd back and forth to each other.)
BUT: you mentioned a family history of schizophrenia (correct spelling.) This is worrisome to me, as this illness has been proven to be genetic in many cases. The good news is that your symptoms aren't the type that usually indicate an onset of that disease. Usually there are more psychotic-type thoughts and ideas involved, i.e. "I think my cat is talking to me." Or, "my friends are plotting behind my back." Also: schizophrenia is usually diagnosed in late-adolescent or early 20's, so you're a BIT over the cusp for it. But the chance is still there.
Bottom line: Try the vitmains. How's your diet? Caffeine intake? If none of that helps, see a doc and take a couple tests; he'll probably give you an MMPI (500 question personality index test). Good luck!

A lot of answers but still would like to answer your question. Firstly don't panic. Relax, relax and relax that is what is needed for you. Do you work by any chance? If so how is your work style i mean - are you able to do your job without forgetting anything for the day or do you mess things there too? Am also 27 yrs and my husband's mother is a schizophrenia patient. So i do know about how it is. My suggestion would be - first home therapy - like - write down things if you forget. this will help. write it as soon as you think of it. It could be anything from drinking water to paying your bills or even what you want to talk to your BF. This will help. And secondly see a doctor and speak. There is nothing wrong in meeting a doc as this will be very helpful (i have seen a physic doc couple of times just coz i was feeling very low). But don't jump into conclusions that things may be wrong with you.
Positive attitude helps a lot - it helps in anything for that matter.Don't worry try to see if my suggestion works for you and if not then consult a doctor and tell him all that you have tried to remember things. God bless you.

It could be soooooo many things, like lack of sleep, the foods you eat, even lack of oxygen for some reason. This is why you need to go to the dr. And if the dr just brushes it off then get a second opinion. This sounds like it could be serious, and even if you don't have what your dad and grandmother have, it might be something else just as serious. Usually mental health can pass itself down in different forms. Go the the dr, make an appt tommorow. Better to be safe than sorry!

Somtiimes when your mind is cocentrating on one thing like watching TV and mid way you ask for somthing else. Because you were so focus on the TV your mind did not register the other non-important activity. The mind can focus on so many things an one go. But to really remember you'll need to focus on one thing at a time.
But since you have a history of schizophrenia. You can have test, it is better to know early then when it is too late. There are medication to control schizophrenia when you catch it early and you'll be able to lead normal life. Don't wait until you are incoherent.
Its a good idea to talk to the doctor about your family history. They will be able to advice you on what to watch out.
Here's a website that gives you more info about schizophrenia, it is explained clearly and easily understood my non-medical people.

The physofrenea you referred to (if I am understanding it correctly) I'm assuming you mean schizophrenia? You should look it up and make sure you have the right diagnosis. Because some conditions are heritable (passed down through the genes). Schizophrenia is one of those conditions. You say you don't do drugs now, did you ever do them at any time in your life? You shouldn't be afraid of the doctor, they are there to help you. Do you feel depressed? Maybe you have clinical depression and the depression is contributing to the forgetfulness. If you have a primary doctor (and hopefully you aren't one of the millions of uninsured) then ask him/her to refer you to a specialist. If it's giving you cause for concern then you need to do something right away.

I would definitely seek medical help. If you have a family history of schizophrenia, then there is a chance that you too could be having the beginning signs of it.
But don't freak out - it could be something completely different.
Also if you do by chance have schizophrenia or are bi-polar, there are medications that you can take that will treat the symptoms and make life very much normal as long as you stay on them and don't quit taking them when you start feeling better.

Your proverbial heart? Or, your actual heart? the respond, of direction relies upon no longer on which heart you mean, yet which recommendations you mean? touching on the word, "he's misplaced his recommendations" we are able to assemble that in case you probably did lose your proverbial heart, you're able to in basic terms lose your 'recommendations' as in, your sanity, finding on what options you chosen thereafter. With the recommendations as in the 'ego' the theory tactics that frequently administration us, in case you misplaced your proverbial heart , you may greater advantageous than in all threat lose your recommendations because it replaced into because of the fact then you actual does no longer function as a common human anymore. you may become robotic, lacking empathy, compassion and different human characteristics that impression the recommendations and make you human. you may become a gadget, and their minds are some thing thoroughly distinctive. The question might become, what could be the driving tension of your new recommendations set? What might impression your judgements? in case you meant dropping your actual, actual heart... properly, then i might say definite and no to dropping your recommendations, any recommendations. definite, because of the fact which you would be lifeless. Your physique as you knew it would no longer be performing on any point, and consequently be without recommendations. No, considering the undeniable fact that's suggested the 'recommendations' by no potential dies, yet overlaps from reincarnation to reincarnation, which explains why we supply some conduct and recommendations by way of, frequently being perceived as genetics, dream states or deja vu. besides the fact that that's particularly your spirit or soul this is doing the reincarnating, the soul comes from the only soul that inhabits each little thing, and so your 'recommendations' that learns greater with each reincarnation is particularly your very individualism. without it, you're no longer you.

What if your grandma never knew what to do and your dad ignored the issue till it was out of hand? I will suggest you to go and see a psychiatrist and know exactly what is happening with you. I couldn't find the disease named as you have mentioned it. Please find out and mention the correct name, so we can help you better. Perhaps, if you seek help in time, you can still be saved and helped. You know well enough that ignoring the issue won't help it. There are many alternative therapies too for you to try. Please go to the doctor and let me know of the exact problem that you have, so that perhaps I can help you find a cure in allopathic or alternative therapies prevalent in India that could be helpful in your condition.
