Both of us are looking forward to his head shave.
which one is preferable : a clipper shave or a razor shave ? and if it is a razor shave which would you suggest :
A straight razor shave by a barber or a safety razor shave by a friend?
Please give us the reasons for your choice.

use the clipper's first with no guard to get rid of the bulk of the hair, then use a simple razor(Bic, which ever you have) and go with the grain, not against trust me. my reason for my choice....i cut hair all day long, i do what works best.

Both are pretty hott, but for a first time i would suggest a clipper shave. Because its his first time and hey may not like so it always grows back really quick because you still have hair at the roots! But a Razor shave get a proffessional barber cause me and you both know that its pretty dangerous! And he's gonna be completly skin bald with that kin of shave!

I like clipper shaves because: you can do it yourself in the mirror and it leaves fuzz (not totally bald).
A straight razor shave is closer to the skin, but you has the chance of being cut.

lol you reminded me of this story I heard...
a guy goes into a restaurant and asks for coffee...
the waiter goes: latte? Mocha? Cappuccino? Espresso...?
then he answers: Latte
The waiter goes: full cream? 1/2 and 1/2? or Skimmed?
He answers: full cream
Then the waiter says: Cow milk? Soya Milk? or Rice milk?
The guy frustrated goes: Just get me water for God's sake!!!
The waiter calmly answers: Do you want it flavored or not?
He answers (Agetiated): not flavored PUHLEEEEEZ!!!
The waiter asks: Frizzy or still????
The guy leaves the restaurant LOL
I suggest clippers!
get a set of professional ones. Cut the hair first and then set the clippers to the shortest setting. Do it for your guy.... suggest that you will do it for him, while he is naked before going to the shower... tell him he needs to be naked in order not to get hair all over himself :P
begin at the neck line and run it up over to the top. Becareful in sensetive areas. You may shave afterwards... I dunno!!
Remember... Some will pull off the shaved head look hot with a goatee (or some facial hair = dirty look)
Just get his head shaved... ask around people who did it whats the best method and so! Some guys will look hot with shaved heads... I hope yours does... Good luck
