We see each other on webcam, so, we know exactly how we look, on any particular day. When I ask him if being online is an excuse for meeting, he said No Way. We've been online dating for about 4 mths now.

It can be. My stepfather used to run a BBS in the 90's, that's how he met my mom. They've been together for about 10 years, and got married 3 years ago.

Very workable. I dated a few men online, some for a year, but no clicks then. But now I have been with this man for 3 1/2 years, married for a little over one of them. I wish i would of found him years ago. There are lots of success stories online if you are very careful and honest.

My husband and I are a success story we met online when i was 17 and talked until i was 19. I waited a year and half for him to come see me since he was working overseas with the military and we met in august moved in together in october and got married august of the next year. If its right its right no matter if its online or not. We love each other who cares if we met online that doesn't mean anything. I think its easier to talk to people but you have to be realistic get to know them as much as possible and don't make them into something there not. you'll find love someway when its right.

It might be fun to play that game for a bit, but relize that a computer simulation is not real life. You can't read people's emotions and feelings truly on a computer screen with typed words. Obviously, dating worked better with the traditional way, since people back then lasted longer in their relationships and actually lived a date instead of typed one. No offense or doubt to anyone's true success stories. Like the lady said above, if it's meant to be it's meant to be - but be careful.

Well my brother and his wife met about 7 years ago online through yahoo lol..... and they are still together to this day very happy I might add. It can work if both parties involved are first and for most honest , open hearted , and willing to make some kind of sacrifice cause lets face it we all arent living right down the road from one another ;o)

I'm prouf of you! If you want to meet each other, then you should do that. My boyfriend is out of state and we have been talking to each other for two months now! How workable is on line dating? Well, it only works if both of you are going to put forth the effort!

all i can say is that nothing always turn out to be the way you think. online dating doesn't work well with "REALITY" and the real world so just don't get too into it.
