Spare ribs. Just put a little bbq sauce and wrap them in foil and bake them at 350 until tender. When there done, put some more bbq sauce and broil for a few mins.

First, they are spare ribs.
Start by buying the very best pork ribs you can find.
I like the "country style" but any part of the rib will do. Keep the ribs intact.
Preheat the oven to 325 to 350 degrees F.
Bring a very large pot or kettle to boil on the range.
Par boil the ribs for 3 to 5 minutes to remove unnecessary fat. Pull the ribs out, cut apart into serving portions.
Lay flat in a baking pan. Season well with salt and pepper.
Baste with bar-be-que sauce. Cook at least 45 minutes to one hour.

Before I put my ribs in the oven I cook them on the stove over low heat for about 2 hours. I put the ribs in a roasting pan and cover with water and chop a green pepper and a med. onion into large pieces and add those to the water along with some chopped garlic and peppercorns. I then let the meat simmer, low and slow, NOT BOIL, on low for a couple of hours, with the cover on the pan. If you boil the meat it will get tough. Then I transfer the meat to a cookie sheet or 9X13 baking pan, cover them in BBQ sauce, and put them in the oven on 375 degrees for about 30 minutes or until the sauce starts to get bubbly and even a little burned in some spots. You can even add more sauce about 20 minutes into the cooking time in the oven and then turn the heat up to 450 if you want a bit more browning. mmmmm GOOD! Also, I use KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce. I found it has the best flavor.

OVEN-BARBECUED SPARE RIBS:
3 to 4 lbs. Ribs (country-style)
black pepper (season to taste)
garlic powder (season to taste)
1 lemon (sliced)
1 large onion (sliced)
1 cup ketchup
1/3 cup Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 dashes Tabasco Sauce
2 cups water
Place ribs in a large shallow roasting pan, meaty side up. (mine measures 14 x 10 1/2) Season meat with pepper and garlic powder. On each piece place a slice of unpeeled lemon, a slice of onion. Roast in a very hot oven (450 degrees) for 30 minutes.
Drain grease from meat pan. Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil and pour over ribs. Continue baking in moderate oven (350 degrees) until tender, about 45 minutes to an hour. Baste ribs with sauce every 15 minutes. If sauce gets thick, add more water.

I usually cut up the ribs into smaller edible pieces and then boil then for about 20 mins. I season the water with garlic, salt, pepper, or use a cajun seasoning. Then I put them in a baking dish and pour over a marinade (A-1 makes good ones) or you could use a garlic sauce ( I usually just buy one) and then bake on a low heat 250-300 for about 2 hours. You want plenty of liquid with the ribs to keep them mist. Don't overboil, or you will dry them out. There are lots of different marinades to experiment with. Try foodnetwork.com to get more ideas..

Spareribs Cantonese

4 pounds meaty pork spareribs or pork loin back ribs, cut into serving pieces
1 cup orange marmalade
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced, or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
Dash black pepper
Orange wedges (optional)
Green onion brushes (optional)

Place ribs meaty side down in a shallow roasting pan. Roast, uncovered, in a 450F oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven; carefully drain fat from ribs.

Turn ribs meaty side up. Reduce oven temperature to 350F; continue roasting ribs, uncovered, for 1 hour. Carefully drain off fat. In a medium bowl.

Combine the marmalade, water, soy sauce, garlic or garlic powder, ginger, and pepper; stir thoroughly. Pour over the ribs. Roast ribs, uncovered, for 30 minutes more or until tender, spooning sauce over ribs occasionally. If desired, serve with orange wedges and garnish with green onion brushes.

I did this a while ago, in a toaster oven. Search online for how long and what temp to cook them, douse them with whatever sauce you want (I may have even used BBQ sauce in packets from fast food joints) and wrap in foil to keep them from drying. Do NOT boil them first. Some people recommend that, but it dries them out. They take longer cooking than other meats. Wrapping in foil keeps them moist and delicious.

You have to boil them first for them to be good....then toss them in bbq sauce and pop into the oven......i do them that way all the time (boil them until the meat pulls away from the bone a little on the ends)

i boil mine for 45 minutes. put seasoning in the pot. after boiling i put them on a baking pan, put BBQ sauce on them and back for 20 min. very tender and good yummmmmmy. now i'm hungry.

i simmer them for about 45 mins in a pot w garlic onion oregano bay salt and pepper. you can improvise. let them cool in the water a bit -- then cover them in some adobo -- its like a mexican barbeque rub -- and bake for about 20 mins.
