Because not all religions have Satan in them. There are those of us who believe in god, and follow no religion. It makes no sense that an all powerful god would need an enemy, and then turn around and assign him the job of tempting the children he loves so dearly so that some of them can be saved, while others would be doomed.

For the religious one, they are so close to the God that Satan don't even have the chance to go near. So they might consider Satan don't exist. But in fact they do.

Because not everyone believes what is written in the Bible. Many people believe in other gods and not the god of the Bible.

The problem is that Satan means different things in different religions. For example there is no "devil" in Judaism and Satan is a good angel with a bad job.

If you do believe in God, you have to believe in Satan.. He was a creation of Gods...
also Satan himself believes in God.. meaning, he knows theres a God, because God created him, and banished him to hell... So yes, Satan believes in God, just not following his rules...

I feel that people deny there is a hell and Satan because it is easier then thinking they may end up there.
