I am 17, and up to around 16 y/o, I had very decent, clear skin. Now I am constantly in acne-woe. I wash my face with a gentle medicated cleanser twice a day, moisturize w/ an oil free moisturizer after cleansing. I get 9 hours of sleep a night and I never, ever wear any kind of facial makeup (only eye makeup). I'm doing everything right, aren't I? But I notice that whenever I'm on a diet (same diet as always, minus the sweets or fried food) - my skin clears up...but I am EXTREMELY miserable, irritable and grouchy unless I have something junk-y once a day just as a treat. But that seems to be breaking me out! I have all these red pimples, a few whiteheads ... worse, they're leaving red scars and crater marks! What to do?

chances are your pimples are caused more by your hormones than anything else. I am 33 and still get pimples, and have tried everything to stop it, but nothing works. Hormones, Hormones, hormones

Unfortunately, I noticed the same thing in highschool, but it seems like it's happening much worse to you. But there is hope! That fat and oil from the food is what's clogging you up, but your woes should soon be over. Go and get a couple of things from the super market.

Daily multivitamins
Fish oil capsules (which contains omega 3, GREAT STUFF)
and B Vitamin Complex

this vast mix of vitamins should keep you nice and clear, it will keep your nutritional intake in balance. But still, make sure you just don't OVER do it on the junky stuff.

peace and love,
rob

You could have food allergies. I would consult a doctor about symptoms and ask to be allergy tested. I hope this helps you. I have a lot of food allergies and is a nurse.
